The tech gurus of Silicon Valley know that screens do not belong in the classroom
Parents who rail against phones in schools are often accused of Luddism. Champions of educational innovation, along with most schoolchildren, insist that smartphones and tablets are now an inescapable part of modern life, that they belong in the classroom as surely as in the office. Yet those who know say “no”. Executives at Google, Ebay, Yahoo and Apple have sent their children to a school that does not let phones and tablets into the classroom. Schools in this country may want to follow its example.
