College is made up of staff who are currently employed in the school and who wish to express their commitment to the education it provides by working for its long-term development.
The Chair of College is accountable to the Chair of Trustees and, on behalf of College, supplies the Board of Trustees with the necessary information to ensure the school is consistent in operating a school based on the educational principles inspired by Rudolf Steiner.
The aims of the College are:
- To work with and sustain the pedagogical impulse that arises from Rudolf Steiner’s description of the evolving human being.
- To provide vision for the curriculum and educational approach created by Rudolf Steiner.
All teachers are expected to attend the Staff Meeting that takes place on Thursdays after school, in order to take part in and be aware of processes and changes in the school.
There are also separate weekly meetings of the Upper School, Class Teachers and Kindergarten teachers, to discuss issues of particular importance in those different areas.
