The PTFA Funding Group has been newly formed with representatives from all areas of the school for the coordination, procurement, purchase and implementation of items and materials which benefit the children of our school.
In order to operate more effectively and efficiently and to encourage the whole school to participate in PTFA activities we have created an easy to understand and transparent procedure that we hope will be beneficial for our community.
Below you will find the current (living) policy which outlines the procedures and guidelines. Also enclosed is an application form for your convenience. Both documents are available in the admissions office as well.
Requests must be received by application to the admissions office or by email to email@example.com together with comparative quotes.
Whilst applications are open all year, they will be processed within the second half of each term.
We hope you find this process helpful and encouraging and look forward to receiving your ideas and applications.

Meet the PTFA Funding Group Team
My two boys started at our school in Kindergarten and are now in Classes 6 and 3. I am an active member of the PTFA and a school association member. I work in the distance learning department at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London where I teach gender and development and supervise research students. I am also an examiner and course author. I hope that the new PTFA funding group inspires the school community to join together in getting some great ideas off the ground and make our school just a little bit lovelier for our children!
I have three children in the school and have actively been involved with the PTFA for 17 years when out eldest son first started kindergarten, for 2 of those I co-chaired the PTFA with Jason Tisdall. For me the most exciting part of being involved with the PTFA is seeing the hard-earned funds being put to good use around the school and giving our children some “icing on the cake” items that couldn’t happen without PTFA dedication. The PTFA Funding Group is a new initiative and we are hoping that it will make it easier for all members of our community to come together and share their ideas and enthusiasm.
I’m an author, trainer, coach and consultant. I’ve worked, among others, with companies like IBM, Kraft, EDS, Prezi, British Telecom, Deloitte. For several years I worked in the non-profit sector as well, and recently founded an international initiative where people freely share their services with their local fellows. To know more or get involved, visit: www.heartsmap.org.
I have participated, assisted in and led men’s groups over the past 7 years. I have been doing holistic healing treatments and massage for more than 14 years. Our daughter started at this school in Kindergarten and is now in class 3. I contribute to the PTFA’s work besides other activities as the Treasurer.
My family joined the school (from the Edinburgh Steiner School) four years ago. I am a former Steiner pupil myself, have been a teacher, and now work in the Admissions Office here at RSSKL. I love meeting and welcoming people, and the best part of my job is showing our school to new families – they (and I!) see a lot of happy children in the playground. The money raised by our community at our many events, especially the Advent Fair, provides a great opportunity for making the school an even better place for our children. As a College member and being on the PTFA Funding Group, I am keen to see that the money spent benefits all parts of the school as much as possible, and look forward to seeing some exciting ideas on those funding application forms!
